A Manifesting Generated channel in the Integration Channel, with the super keynote of Self-Empowerment. Gate 34 (Gate of Power) sits in the Sacral Center; Gate 20 (Gate of the Now) sits in the Throat Center. Ra named this channel A Design where Awareness must Become Deed.
The Integration Channel stands apart from all three circuit groups — it is the core defense mechanism of the form, the backbone of human individuation. Channel 34-20 is one of three oppositions in the Rave Mandala, making it one of the most common channel definitions in the world. Here the raw physiological power of the Sacral — processed through the thyroid system — is pushed directly to the Throat at such speed that it nearly bypasses response and moves straight into manifestation. The result is a person who is almost always in motion, whose awareness and action arrive simultaneously, and whose genuine vitality can be strikingly magnetic to others.
Because this is Manifesting Generated, the classic Integration tension applies: the Warrior (Manifestor quality) must surrender to the Buddha (Generator). The power is enormous, but it is correct only when guided by Sacral response.
High Expression
When Sacral response directs the power, this channel delivers what Ra calls the true nature of charisma: genuine vitality and self-empowerment emerging spontaneously from being absorbed in what one deeply loves doing. There is no performance in it. The person is simply busy with what is correct and satisfying — self-absorbed in the healthiest sense — and that authentic aliveness naturally inspires everyone nearby. The Integration super keynote "self-empowerment" means this channel is designed to empower the individual first; the inspiration it offers others is a by-product, never the goal.
Low Expression (Shadow)
When the mind substitutes its "should's and could's" for Sacral response, the same driving energy becomes misdirected. Ra's description is precise: it can erupt spontaneously like a misguided missile, getting carried away by its own momentum. The person ends up busy for the sake of being busy, scattered, doing things that serve neither themselves nor others, and their health and example suffer for it. Proper manifesting is enormously beneficial to society; chaotic manifesting — power without guidance — is deeply destructive. Those with this channel so thoroughly absorbed in their own activity can also become so busy they stop recognizing where any form of guidance is even needed.
Gate 34 — Gate of Power
Center: Sacral
Gate 34 is a potent and impressive source of energy built for individuation — displaying and celebrating uniqueness in the world. Two qualities distinguish it from the other gates in the Sacral: its asexuality and the unavailability of its power to others. When connected to Gate 20 in the Throat, this power is resolved to act on one's own behalf, to turn thoughts into deeds, and to express the ability to manifest and thrive. Without the intuitive guidance of Gate 57 to direct it, the relentless power of Gate 34 alone can become unhealthy and misdirected — lost in its own momentum, expending energy that serves no one.
Gate 20 — Gate of the Now
Center: Throat
Gate 20 is a purely existential gate. It keeps its bearer focused entirely in the present moment and does not consider the past or the future. Its expression spans the full range from "I am now" to "I know I am myself doing now." There is rarely time to mentally consider or control what comes bubbling up — what is said or done is suddenly there for everyone, including the person themselves, to witness. Gate 20 can give voice to Gate 57's intuitive awareness, Gate 10's behavioral principles, or — as here — manifest Gate 34's Sacral power directly through action. The inability to sit still or be quiet that people with this definition often notice is built into this gate's nature: the power meeting manifestation happens so fast it almost skips the response step entirely.

When the mind overrides it with reasons why you should commit to something, the same enormous energy that could carry you forward ends up scattered or misdirected.
